MiCA is starting to show up inside the TON ecosystem.
Major TON exchanges are already adding the boring but important stuff: Terms of Service prompts, legal warnings, and jurisdiction blocks for users from restricted regions.
At first glance, it’s just compliance text.
In practice, it’s DeFi slowly learning the same lesson as centralized exchanges: interfaces are easier to regulate than protocols.
MiCA was designed as a unified EU rulebook for crypto. Exchanges, custodial wallets, and other crypto services now need to fit into one European licensing framework instead of navigating country-by-country chaos.
The centralized market already felt it first: Coinbase, Kraken, OKX and others moved toward EU licensing, while Binance had to limit access for some European users after missing the authorization window.
The contracts may stay open.
But the frontends, wallets, and access points are becoming the new control layer.
