The USS Abraham Lincoln's crew received a port visit in Thailand after a 286-day deployment that included a record 264 consecutive days at sea and months of combat operations in the Middle East.
Sailors described food shortages, limited communications with family and uncertainty over their return, while many also expressed pride in their mission.
