Dear Alumni,
I am writing to let you know about changes to alumni programming that are taking effect in August 2026.
New Support Structure
Due to changes in the FLEX and YES programs, there will no longer be an Alumni Coordinator in Ukraine or any other FLEX countries.
I am deeply grateful for the honour to manage our vibrant, friendly and simply incredible community for the past 2 years. Thank you everyone for your participation and support in events, for refreshing small talks, for sharing vacancies and opportunities in our chats.
Please, keep it up!
The City and University Representatives (CR/UR) program will continue and will aim to further expand alumni collaboration, build peer-to-peer support, and advance the goals of the FLEX and YES programs. CRs/URs will be eligible to receive funding of up to $250 to implement recurring, ongoing activities. As part of the application process, interested alumni will be asked to share their plan for the year and request a budget.
CR/UR Mentors will support CRs and URs by offering support and advice from a local perspective. They will be invited to help with trainings, but will have no administrative responsibilities, like reporting or managing a budget.
Applications for both CRs/URs and CR/UR Mentors are open now. We hope you will consider applying. Both CRs/URs and CR/UR Mentors will have exclusive training and networking opportunities and will receive certificates of completion at the end of the program. Stay tuned for more details!
New Reporting Structure
Starting August 1, we encourage individual alumni to share your personal achievements and activities you organize in your local communities directly with American Councils, so that we can share those achievements with representatives of the United States Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Reports can be submitted on a rolling basis but should be submitted no later than the 4th of each month for activities organized/successes achieved in the previous month.
To submit a report, simply fill out this form: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AlumniActivityReport2627
Let's move our FLEX Alumni Ukraine community forward, even if we now have to do it in a slightly different manner.
Once FLEX - forever FLEX💙
Sincerely yours, Vira
