Subject: Request for Reconsideration of 33% Reservation for Women in State Government Recruitment

Respected Sir,
I am writing to respectfully express my concern regarding the recently announced 33% reservation for women in state government recruitment.
While I fully support the objective of women's empowerment and greater participation of women in public service, I believe that such a high percentage of reservation may significantly reduce opportunities for a large number of deserving General Category male job aspirants in West Bengal, where unemployment remains a major concern.
Therefore, I humbly request the Government of West Bengal to reconsider this policy and either withdraw it or reduce the reservation percentage to a more balanced level, such as 5%, so that equal opportunities can be ensured for all candidates while continuing to promote women's representation in government services.
A balanced approach would help achieve the goal of gender inclusion without creating additional challenges for other job seekers.
I sincerely request the Government to consider the concerns of all aspirants before implementing this policy.
