A Touching Story
There’s a story of a poor man who walked by a king’s palace. The king called him over and said, “O needy man, come here.” The man replied, “Can I ask you something?” The king said, “Go ahead.”
The man asked, “Do you feel the need to conquer more lands?” The king said, “Yes, I think about it day and night.”
Then the man said, “You are chasing something you don’t have, while I am happy with what I have. Now tell me, who is truly in need—you or me?” The king paused and admitted, “You’re right.”
Sometimes, being rich is just a matter of perspective. You may already be rich—you just need to recognize it. True wealth isn't about having a lot of money; it's about appreciating the blessings you already have. The Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Wealth is not in having many possessions, but true wealth is feeling content in the soul."
Do things that make you feel rich—like giving charity, doing volunteer work, and acting for the sake of Almighty God, not just for money. When your actions come from sincere faith and trust in godly reward, you will feel truly rich. And the Almighty God promises to provide for His righteous servants from where they least expect.
