The U.S. Department of Commerce is using Chainlink to publish official macroeconomic data on public blockchains for the first time.
The collaboration delivers six data feeds from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) to 10 blockchain networks, covering three key indicators in two formats each:
- Real GDP - level and annual rate of change
- PCE Price Index - level and annual rate of change
- Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers - level and annual rate of change
The feeds will be updated monthly or quarterly in line with the BEA’s existing release schedule.
