Macron on AI:

If AI becomes an instrument that replaces—or claims to replace—authors, creators, or voice actors, then we would be making a tremendous mistake.

Because we would be allowing people to believe that computational capacity can become creative capacity.

AI can imitate what creation looks like, but it can never replace the absolute singularity of human creation.

It can reproduce its appearance; it can even imitate our emotions. It develops languages, but in a sense, it is only mimicking the emotion that belongs to us.

Our challenge, therefore, is to humanize artificial intelligence—to place it at the service of our collective creativity.
