Freedom of speech is one of the most important freedoms we have. And I’ll tell you this: the people who pushed the woke policies that have done so much damage to this country don’t want you criticising them or their ideas. We feel the consequences every week — the cost of living, housing pressures, crime, and mass migration putting further pressure on infrastructure, housing and services. And perhaps most importantly, they don’t want ordinary Australians freely debating these issues. You should be able to question mass migration. You should be able to criticise government policy. You should be able to disagree with the people in power — without being silenced or treated like a problem for speaking up. Without free speech, there is nothing stopping governments and ideologues from taking this country in whatever direction they choose. That’s why we need to defend it.
