Role Overview
We are seeking a creative, proactive, and highly resourceful Social Media & Community Manager to manage and grow the company’s digital presence across social media platforms.
The ideal candidate should be a strong storyteller and communicator who understands how to create engaging content, build online communities, grow brand visibility, and translate social media activity into meaningful audience engagement and business opportunities.
The role requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced film and entertainment environment and is willing to attend production sets, industry events, client engagements, and other key company activities to capture and develop compelling content.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the company’s social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
* Develop and implement platform-specific content strategies tailored to each audience.
* Develop and execute a social media strategy aligned with the company’s brand identity, mission, marketing objectives, and business goals.
* Create innovative strategies and campaigns to increase followers, reach, engagement, and overall brand visibility.
* Develop, curate, and publish engaging content across all social media platforms.
* Create and maintain a consistent and effective social media content calendar and posting schedule.
* Monitor social media platforms, respond to comments, messages, mentions, and other audience interactions in a timely and professional manner.
* Build and nurture an engaged online community while strengthening brand loyalty.
* Maintain a consistent brand voice and ensure all content reflects the company’s values and positioning.
* Ensure all published content complies with relevant ethical standards, platform guidelines, copyright requirements, and codes of engagement.
* Leverage social media platforms to expand the company’s reach and strengthen its presence within the film and entertainment industry.
* Attend production sets, major company events, client/partner engagements, premieres, and relevant industry events to capture real-time content.
* Develop engaging behind-the-scenes content, reels, stories, interviews, short-form videos, and other digital assets.
* Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop campaigns that generate leads, conversions, and business opportunities.
* Track, analyse, and report on social media performance and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
* Stay updated on emerging social media trends, platform changes, content formats, and digital marketing best practices.
* Monitor industry conversations and identify opportunities for the brand to participate in relevant trends and discussions.
* Support crisis communication and reputation management across social media platforms when required.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree/HND in Mass Communication, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field.
* Proven experience managing social media accounts, preferably for a film, entertainment, media, creative, lifestyle, or consumer-facing brand.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong storytelling and narrative development skills.
* Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt content for different platforms and audiences.
* Good understanding of social media strategy, content marketing, and community management.
* Ability to interpret social media analytics and use insights to improve content and engagement.
* Strong crisis communication and problem-solving skills.
* Graphic design skills with the ability to create social media flyers, carousels, and other visual content.
* Ability to create quality video content using a smartphone.
* Proficiency in video editing tools/software for creating and editing reels and short-form videos.
* Good understanding of current social media trends, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
