በኢትዮጵያ የተመሰረተው "አምባላይ ማፕስ" (Ambalay Maps) የተሰኘ አዲስ የጂኦ-ኤአይ (GeoAI) ስታርትአፕ፣ መደበኛ የካርታ እና የአድራሻ ስርዓቶች በሚያዳግቱባቸው ቦታዎች የሚያገለግል የካርታ ቴክኖሎጂ እያበለጸገ ይገኛል። የሰው ሰራሽ አስተውሎትን (AI) በመጠቀም፣ ድርጅቱ በመንገድ ስሞች ብቻ ከመመራት ይልቅ ሰዎች በሚያውቋቸው ታዋቂ ቦታዎች (landmarks) ላይ በመመስረት በአማርኛ እና በእንግሊዝኛ ቋንቋዎች አቅጣጫን የሚጠቁም ቴክኖሎጂ አቅርቧል። ከአቅጣጫ ጠቋሚነት በተጨማሪ፣ ህንፃዎችን እና መንገዶችን በፍጥነት ለመለየት የሳተላይት ምስሎችን በኤአይ የሚተነትን ሲሆን፣ ለሎጂስቲክስ እና የዕቃ ማጓጓዣ (delivery) ተቋማት የተሻለ የመንገድ ምርጫን፣ የጊዜ ትንበያን እና የቀጥታ ጉዞ ክትትልን ያቀርባል።
