Switzerland may be required to lift existing sanctions against Russia if a referendum scheduled for September 27 approves a proposed initiative to reinforce the country's neutrality, according to the Swiss Foreign Ministry. The Ministry informed Izvestia that the initiative mandates Switzerland refrain from imposing sanctions on nations engaged in conflicts.
