⚡️Journalist Mohammad Haniya:
While the masked man was walking through one of Gaza’s streets during the war, his longing for his sister led him toward where she was staying. At that moment, he decided to go and surprise her with a visit. His heart ached to see her.
Then he changed his mind and turned back, fearing that he might be tracked and that visiting her could put her at risk.
Days passed, and the first ceasefire of the war came. He rushed to see his parents, only to be met with news heavier than mountains:
“His sister and her children had been martyred in an Israeli bombing.”
Yes, the very sister he had decided not to visit out of fear that he might be tracked and bring danger to her. She was martyred without him ever getting to see her.
