🇨🇦 Donald Trump shared a map of the border between the US and Canada in which Lake Ontario, which is shared by the two countries, is renamed as Lake America. This comes just hours after he floated the idea of changing the name of the body of water as the trade war between the US and #Canada intensifies.In his Truth Social post, the deranged #US President only published a portion of the map showing New York, Toronto and Lake Ontario, with the lake's name crossed out. On the map bearing the Team Trump logo, Stars and Stripes flag next to the words 'Lake America' appears above the actual name of the body of water.
Earlier, Trump had posted on his social media platform: "The United States is giving serious consideration to changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America in that we don't expect to doing much business with Ontario any longer."
Ontario Premier Doug Ford dismissed the Lake Ontario threat as "a lot of rhetoric" and urged the two countries to resume negotiations.
Meanwhile Canadian Industry Minister Melanie Joly made the northern nation's stance on the whole thing pretty clear.
