Russia’s new digital asset law takes effect today:
• Retail investors can buy up to ₽300,000 ($3,700) per year after passing a test.
• Retail access is limited to BTC, ETH and USDT.
• Crypto exchanges must register with the Bank of Russia.
• Companies can use crypto for cross-border payments.
• P2P trading remains legal but faces stricter AML and bank monitoring.
