While preparing for Mains, don't try to solve every past year's question (PYQ).
️⃣ Focus on 2013 to 2026 PYQs: Stick to questions from 2013 onward, as the exam pattern underwent a major shift that year.
️⃣ Focus on themes, not individual questions: Spotting recurring themes will significantly simplify your preparation.
️⃣ Build static notes around core themes: Prepare short, structured notes for the static syllabus based on the high-yield themes you identify.
️⃣ Treat Current Affairs PYQs as thematic guides: Questions on current events are usually context-specific to that year. Use them primarily to identify repeating topics—such as Bills, Acts, or landmark Supreme Court judgments in Polity.
️⃣Avoid over-preparing: Know your boundaries and focus only on what consistently yields results.
