GS1 is over. Whether you found the paper easy, moderate or difficult it doesn’t matter anymore. Your only job now is to focus on the next paper. Please don’t watch first-reaction videos. Don’t get into answer comparisons, paper analysis or discussions about how everyone else performed. None of that will help you write the next paper. And if you feel GS1 didn’t go well, remember this marksheet of Aniruddh Yadav. He scored 99 in GS1. But then he scored 119 in GS2, 105 in GS3 and 119 in GS4, eventually getting 856 marks in the written examination. That is how UPSC works. One paper going badly does not mean your Mains has gone badly. You can recover the marks in the papers that follow. But there is one condition: you need to stay calm. Don’t let a good paper make you overconfident. And don’t let a bad paper convince you that your attempt is over. GS1 is done. You cannot change it now. Forget the paper. Reset your mind. And give everything you have to the next one.
