✅Great wall of lagos- Nigeria
🅾️What: An 8.5-kilometre coastal defense structure and sea revetment engineered to protect a multibillion-dollar city built on 10 million square metres of land reclaimed from the Atlantic Ocean.
🅾️Where: Located on the coastline of Lagos, Nigeria (West Africa), specifically bordering Victoria Island and the new Eko Atlantic City district along the Gulf of Guinea.
🅾️Why: Constructed to halt severe ocean surges and rapid coastal erosion caused by interrupted sediment drift, which had swallowed 5 kilometres of the Lagos beachfront over the past century.
