Ananda asked the Buddha, “How much wealth is enough?”
The Buddha took a cup and began pouring water into it.
When it overflowed, he continued pouring.
Ananda stopped him.
“Why do you continue? The cup is already full.”
The Buddha smiled.
“Because this is what the human mind does with desire.”
Greed begins when ‘enough’ stops being a destination.
