Important Instructions as per the UPSC CMS 2026 E-Admit Card Documents and items to carry First, carry a printed copy of your e-admit card. Do not write, scribble, or make any markings on it. Preserve the e-admit card carefully until the Personality Test stage. You must also carry the original photo identity card mentioned on your e-admit card. This may be an Aadhaar card, passport, PAN card, driving licence, or any other photo ID submitted during the application process. Check your admit card and carry the same original ID. Since this is an OMR-based examination, you must carry a black ballpoint pen. Do not use: Blue pens Gel pens Ink pens Pencils for marking the OMR sheet Carry at least two black ballpoint pens, since the examination is conducted in two sessions. You may carry a pencil for rough work, but the OMR sheet must be marked only with a black ballpoint pen. A simple, non-digital wristwatch is generally allowed. Smartwatches and electronic watches are not permitted. Some examination centres may allow transparent water bottles. However, since this may vary across centres, follow the instructions mentioned on your e-admit card and those given by the examination authorities. Passport-size photographs Two passport-size photographs are required only when the photograph printed on the e-admit card is unclear, blurred, or not properly visible. This requirement does not apply to every candidate. Candidates with an unclear photograph should carry two passport-size photographs for submission at the examination centre. The morning session begins at 9:30 AM. Candidates should reach the examination centre by 9:00 AM. The afternoon session begins at 2:00 PM. Candidates should reach the examination centre by 1:30 PM. Do not wait until the last moment. Plan your travel in advance and reach the venue well before the reporting time.
