Good morning Bra Kweku, am Victoria Aidoo. Concerning the single mother experience, none of the relationships I entered into helped me. After getting what they wanted, they left with no reasons.
During the lockdown, I was in distance learning, doing everything for myself—paying rent, school fees, and teaching in one private school. So when the lockdown came, I had to go and search for a job. I got a kenkey job to do. I met this guy who told me he had two children with a woman, but they were no longer together.
Hmmm, because I was fed up with relationships, I gave in, not knowing he was very lazy. When he was with the wife, he could not even pay rent, so they evicted them. He told me all this, but I didn’t know what happened. I should have advised myself, but I got pregnant for him. I was 29 by then.
At a point, I thought I couldn’t even get pregnant because of my previous relationships, so I kept it. Even this guy couldn’t buy baby dresses. It was the church that supported me.
Hmmm, as I talk, I have quit with him. That was in 2023. Now I have rented my own place and live with my daughter. He doesn’t even know where I stay because I don’t want to show him. He gives chop money of 300 every month, but he won’t give it in full—200, and the remaining will be with him.
As I type, am growing, but I also fear if I can get genuine love because I have not gotten genuine love before. Am single at the moment. 😀 Hmmm, this is how I became a single mother. Please share for me. Thank you.
