Bro, I started this church in 2021 where I met and started dating my GF in 2022. A friend invited me and when we went, I liked the place and decided to fellowship there. By Gods grace, I met this beautiful usher, approached her and she agreed. We've dated for 4 years (since 2022). We started planning marriage later last year after I went for the knocking right and took the list. Bro, we've bought most of the items that can wait, we planned going ahead with the marriage next year. Initially, we planned it for this year, but the pastor suggested we waited next year because he said we're young so we should give it another year to save some money. I'm 28 and my girlfriend is 25. I moved from my old place earlier this year because of work. I couldn't go to the church any more. I could but I just don't think it's worth stressing myself every Sunday to board a car all the way from where I live(Ashaley Botwe) to OSU for church. So I joined a church here, and that's where I've been fellowshipping. When I mentioned this to my girlfriend, she was okay but when I mentioned it to the pastor of my previous church, he doesn't like the idea. According to him, I have to sacrifice my time for God by coming. He's also against me being in another church because of different doctrines, but they're both charismatic one man churches and they preach the same but this man just doesn't like the idea of me leaving his church. He eventually convinced my girlfriend to dump me if I won't come to their church. Bro, I don't know what he told her but this girl is so done with me. I thought it was a joke but till now, she won't let me close unless I'm coming to their church as regular as I used to. She said the pastor said I'll pollute her and that he doesn't want us to ever leave his church so she should dump me and find someone in the church. Bro, I love this girl and she loved me. I feel the pastor has told her something cuz I was thinking she'll change her mind, but it's been 4months and nothing. Last time I spoke to the pastor 2 months ago, he said if I won't come to his church, his members won't be nearer to me. I love this lady, I can't start all over. But I don't like the church anymore. In fact, I even hate it now. What do I do?
