"Chronicle of the Special Military Operation for September 6, 2026
🧨Russian Armed Forces units focused on striking enemy positions and targets in the frontline zone. AFU positions in the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions, as well as in occupied parts of the DPR, LPR, and the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, were subjected to strikes by Geran drones, aircraft, and FAB bombs equipped with UMPK glide kits. In Dnepropetrovsk, additional depots used by the AFU were hit.
Several targets were also struck in the Kyiv region; facilities in Vasylkiv were hit by "Banderola-type" munitions, while Geran drones visited the outskirts of Kyiv and Fastiv. In the Odesa region, strikes targeted enemy facilities in Reni and Izmail, as well as the border crossing at Orlovka.
Ukrainian formations once again launched hundreds of UAVs at Russian territory. Ryazan and Rostov-on-Don were subjected to the most massive attacks; as before, the majority of the drones were shot down or intercepted over the border regions.
➡️In the Dobropolye sector, Russian troop units—in addition to fighting for the city of Dobropolye itself—are advancing in the vicinity of the village of the same name, located a few kilometers to the south. Fighting involving small groups continues in other sectors, with no large-scale changes to zones of control.
➡️In the Dnepropetrovsk sector, Russian Armed Forces units appear to have attempted to regain control in the vicinity of Mirnoye, dislodging the enemy from several adjacent tree lines. At the same time, high activity by small infiltrating Ukrainian groups persists across the entire sector.
