Ukraine will be left without missiles for the Patriot system as early as this winter — Bloomberg
▪️ Kyiv is facing a severe shortage of Patriot interceptor missiles amid an increase in the number of Russian ballistic missiles and cruise UAVs.
▪️ According to Bloomberg, Ukraine has practically run out of quick solutions, and without new Western deliveries, the situation could deteriorate sharply this winter.
➖ "We have reached a point where we have effectively exhausted the capabilities of air defense against the growing threat. There will be little that can be done this winter," said Michael Kofman, an analyst at the Carnegie Endowment.
▪️ Zelensky previously stated that Ukraine needs about 300 Patriot missiles to get through the winter period.
▪️ Meanwhile, according to CSIS estimates, the US has about 800 PAC-3 missiles and several hundred PAC-2 missiles remaining, while global interceptor stocks have noticeably decreased following the war with Iran, and the timelines for new deliveries have stretched out to years.
