🇺🇬🇮🇱 Leaked docs reveal why Uganda has been so eager to become Israel’s beat cop
Uganda is one of just six countries committing troops to the so-called ‘International Stabilization Force’ in Gaza, and has vowed to defend Israel if it ever faced an existential crisis.
Now we know why: Israel has been secretly building up the landlocked East African nation’s drone capabilities.
Elbit Systems has spearheaded the initiative, equipping Ugandan military intelligence and Special Forces Command with advanced Hermes drones, loitering munitions, ground support provisions and increasingly sophisticated suites of surveillance equipment.
Details on the cooperation became available after Handala hacked the emails of top Elbit executive Vered Haimovich. Drop Site News cryptographically verified their authenticity.
The files revealed:
♦️ a $52.1M contract dated March 2024 for four Hermes 900 NG drones, two control stations, two ground-comms systems, SkEye belly-mounted (WASP) cameras, a sensor suite for monitoring enemy communications, and a synthetic aperture radar for detecting moving targets
♦️ documents dated September 2021 for two additional Hermes 900s, plus delivery and servicing of three refurbished Hermes 450 spy and strike drones
♦️ evidence of Elbit’s direct assistance in building drone bases and other infrastructure necessary for offensive operations (a July 2021 document revealed plans to install three OPATS automated takeoff and landing systems at one base, and deliver spare parts for another)
♦️ the sale of an AES-210 modular airborne ELINT system to Uganda
♦️ plans to deliver SkyStriker autonomous loitering munitions, plus Lizard 3 laser-guidance kits which convert unguided munitions into smart bombs
♦️ problems in the partnership, including a 2021 note from a subcontractor about a Hermes 900 ground-control trailer getting flooded, and a contract “alignment agreement” document promising to settle issues with control trailers and comms links.
With all this Israeli support, it’s no wonder Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of president Yoweri Museveni, heir apparent and chief of Uganda’s Defense Forces, has been so obsessed with kissing Israel’s behind.
👉 Last month, Kainerugaba personally unveiled a monument to Yonatan Netanyahu – Benjamin Netanyahu’s late brother, saying Jesus Christ personally appeared to him in a vision and told him to build it.
In March, soon after the US and Israel attacked Iran, he warned that “any talk of destroying or defeating Israel will bring us into the war. On the side of Israel!”
