Humankind 2 builds on the original's era-based civilization building, letting players adopt and combine cultures through progression trees for more personalized empires. The big new addition is a changing climate that shifts biomes across the ages, forcing players to adapt cities and economies or risk long-term consequences. New civilizations are joining the roster too, including the Saqqaq, Etruscans and Scythians, alongside updated visuals and UI.
