— Hamas political bureau member Basem Naim criticized the Peace Council and its representative, Mladenov, for what he described as continued Israeli attacks in Gaza despite a ceasefire agreement.
Naim reported six Palestinians killed in Israeli shelling since dawn on Thursday, claiming violence persists since the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement last October.
He stated approximately 1,400 Palestinians have been killed and over 4,500 injured since the agreement, with children and women making up about 40% of the casualties.
Naim accused the Peace Council and Mladenov of remaining silent while Israel continues military operations, suggesting the El-Arish agreement gave political cover to PM Netanyahu.
He held Mladenov personally responsible in his role as the Peace Council's senior representative, accusing him of previously blaming Palestinians quickly.
"We are not responsible for the Israeli elections and their results," Naim said, adding that "silence is complicity" and warning the situation is unsustainable.
