— IDF to demolish tunnels beneath Ali al-Taher ridge, then withdraw from southern Lebanon security zone
Military sources say no militants remain alive in the area.
The withdrawal plan will be submitted this week for approval by the Northern Command chief and then brought before the political leadership.
After destroying the tunnels, IDF forces will pull back from the "Yellow Line" and reposition 2 to 4 kilometers from the border, building around 20 permanent positions along the "Gray Line."
Control of vacated areas will be maintained via surveillance systems and Air Force aircraft.
Israel has told Lebanon through the US that residents will not be allowed to return to those areas until negotiations resume in Rome next week.
