— Iranian Fars news agency: US nighttime escort in Strait of Hormuz fails as LNG tanker turns back
The Al-Ghashamiya, an LNG carrier sailing in the southern corridor under US protection, has withdrawn from continuing through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to ship-tracking data from Kepler, the vessel was accompanied by four other LNG tankers, heading from Qatar's Ras Laffan export facilities toward the strait and the east.
The tanker has now changed course, heading to the UAE's Fujairah port instead of Qatar's Ras Laffan.
