Orc suffers major Donbas defeat — first in a long time.
Orcs to abandon 200+ km² in Donetsk region and a bridgehead north of Lyman. According to OSINT analyst Clément Molin, Rochan Consulting, and ISW, a four-month Ukrainian counteroffensive liberated settlements and cut off part of the orc grouping. Konrad Muzyka estimates orc losses at 240 km², calling the plan to encircle Slavyansk-Kramatorsk from the north a failure. ISW says orcs gains since early March have been nullified. Mordor military bloggers admit problems near Lyman, citing "systemic lies in reports." The NYT previously reported Putin's order to capture the Donbas by autumn 2027.
