Microsoft's Controversial Experiment: Bing Imitates Google!

Microsoft has introduced an interesting but controversial feature to address the issue of users searching for "Google" on Bing and switching to its rival search engine. Now, when someone searches for "Google" on Bing, the interface changes to mimic Google's homepage. The goal? To make users feel more "at home" and continue using Bing with a familiar Google-like look.

This new interface is part of Microsoft's experiments to retain more users on Bing. It only appears when you're not logged into a Microsoft account, targeting users who haven't changed their default browser settings in Windows and end up on Bing by default.

In response to this move, Parisa Tabriz, head of Google Chrome, commented:
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but Microsoft spoofing Google’s homepage is another trick in their long history of confusing users and limiting choice. A new year, and another low for Microsoft.
