— The Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) rebel group ambushed a convoy of Ethiopian soldiers in an unknown location in the region of Oromia. 
The OLA is a major rebel group in Ethiopia whose goals are the independence of the Oromo lands and people from the Ethiopian state. The Oromo tribes and people came under Ethiopian control during the reign and conquest of the Negus Menelik 2 in the late 19th century, which later led to the suppression of their culture by the Ethiopian power. 
Negus is the title traditionally given to Ethiopian emperors.
