— A U.S. official told Reuters that the American military underwater drone malfunctioned in the Middle East more than a day ago.

The official said the defective unmanned underwater vehicle (UVV) was not carrying any classified sonar, radar or other sensitive equipment.

Notably, the official didn't acknowledge the UUV was captured.
