— Thailand has urged Israel to ensure its citizens respect Thai laws and local customs following a series of incidents involving Israeli visitors that have fueled tensions in popular tourist destinations.Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow said he held a “frank discussion” with Israeli Ambassador Alona Fisher-Kamm over concerns including Israeli entrepreneurs using Thai nominees to bypass foreign-ownership restrictions and tourists causing friction with communities in Koh Phangan, Phuket, and Koh Samui.
