— The IDF is preparing for a significant reduction of its forces in southern Lebanon following the destruction of tunnels along the Ali Taher Ridge, Kan News reports.Under a plan being discussed by Israel’s defense establishment, troops would withdraw from the current "security zone" in some areas, including positions north of the Litani such as Beaufort, and redeploy closer to the Israeli border.
The proposed deployment, dubbed the “gray line,” would consist of IDF outposts roughly three to four kilometers inside Lebanese territory.
The plan has not yet been finalized or approved by Israel’s political leadership.
