— Colombian President Espriella says two soldiers were killed and five others wounded in an ELN drone attack on the El Trapiche Military Canton in Ocaña, Norte de Santander.The ELN’s Camilo Torres Restrepo Front used drones to drop explosive devices on the military facility. One officer and one professional soldier were killed, while five professional soldiers were wounded. A Colombian Air Force aircraft was also damaged by shrapnel.
Espriella vowed a forceful response, saying the government would pursue the ELN’s fighters, leadership, finances, and illicit economies. He also announced plans to develop a new military and police strategy for the Catatumbo region.
