🇦🇺🇺🇸🇨🇳⚡️ — A new YouGov survey shows growing skepticism among Australians about the reliability of the U.S. alliance under President Trump, despite overall support for the partnership.

68% believe the U.S. would defend Australia if China attacked, down from 84% under Joe Biden, while just 29% say U.S. assistance is “very likely.”

46% are unsure whether Australia will actually receive the promised U.S. Virginia-class submarines under AUKUS; 31% are confident and 23% are not.

Australians are increasingly viewing China as an economic partner rather than a threat, with 64% seeing it as a partner compared with 47% as a danger, making Australia the only Quad country surveyed to rate China more as an economic partner than a threat.
