— NEW: Ukrainian President Zelensky warned airlines, insurers, and others using Russian airspace that "Russian skies are becoming completely unsafe."Zelensky stressed that Ukraine does not threaten civilian aircraft but said "the presence of drones in the sky over Russia means that this must be taken into account," particularly around major airports in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other key destinations.
He noted that Russian airspace "will de facto be closed — the war Russia started is closing its skies."
“There are no more safe moments in the sky over Russia,” Zelensky said, adding that “civilian aviation has no place among drones.”
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry and other relevant agencies will provide international organizations with information about the risks.
