Former MI6 chief John Sawers said on Wednesday that there is unlikely to be sustainable peace between Russia and Ukraine in the near future. He suggested that successful ceasefire negotiations might emerge by 2027 if the suffering on both sides intensifies. Sawers shared his views in an article published by the Financial Times.
