The Pharmacy Council of India has officially rolled out the New B.Pharm Curriculum 2026–27 — and it's a complete transformation of how pharmacy is taught in India.
Here's what changes for every pharmacy student from 2026 onward:
✅ NEP 2020-aligned, outcome-based learning ✅ AI, Machine Learning & Python integrated into coursework ✅ Formal credit system — 191 to 193 credits across 8 semesters ✅ Specialization in Industrial or Clinical Pharmacy from Semester 5 ✅ Two mandatory internships (clinical / community + industry) ✅ Data Analytics, Biostatistics, Precision Medicine & NDDS added ✅ New skill-based electives — AEC, SEC, VAC ✅ Mandatory UG research projects across two semesters ✅ Deep dive into Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, IPR & QA ✅ CBCS + Academic Bank of Credits for seamless multi-entry / exit
