The pace of constituent change in the smaller indices has been massive, in the past 2 years, as compared to the nifty 50.
Nearly half the composition of the N 150 & N small cap has changed.
And this explains simply why the smaller indices have done so much better than the NIFTY 50.
So it is very simple to create a bull market: put all the new age companies, data centre, optical fibre,plays, etc, into the NIFTY 50, throw out the old fogeys, and voila! You will have a synthetic bull market conjured up instantly
