SHAME on these cops, SHAME on this judge and SHAME on the Democrats who are behind this. Virginia nearly threw a pregnant mom IN PRISON for letting her 5-year-old walk to the pond for goose feathers.

Karyann Parkinson was eight months pregnant in June when her son Sam asked to walk about a half-mile back to the pond in Ford's Colony, their gated Williamsburg community with 24-hour security and a 25 mph speed limit.

A passerby called security. A guard walked Sam home and told the boy bad people would want to take him if he was out alone, which Parkinson says "scared the crap out of him."

Three cop cars, three officers, and two CPS workers showed up at the door. CPS issued a Level 2 finding for lack of supervision and put Parkinson on Virginia's neglect registry for seven years.

Judge Brian J. Smalls then convicted her of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class 1 misdemeanor. He imposed six months in jail and suspended it pending good behavior.

The conviction stays on her record. She assumes it will block her from volunteering at her kids' schools and from getting a law license after William and Mary.

Virginia passed a 2023 childhood independence law saying a parent is not neglectful for letting a child walk to nearby places if it is not grossly negligent. CPS still told her husband "a 5-year-old child can never be unsupervised."

Sam was not hurt. The state now treats a sidewalk walk for feathers as a crime... while letting ACTUAL CRIMINALS roam free.
Democrats continue to show they're demonic.
