🔰 The Ruling on the Wife Washing the Body of her Deceased Husband 🔰
Shaikh Sālih al-Fawzān حفظه الله تعالى
Question: Can the wife perform the washing of the body of her deceased husband?
Answer: "Yes it is permissible for each of the spouses to perform the washing of the other, the wife can wash the body of her husband, and the husband can wash the body of his wife.
Indeed, 'Ali ibn Abī Tālib رضي الله عنه washed Fātimah رضي الله عنها - the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ. And Asmā bint 'Umays رضي الله عنها washed her husband Abū Bakr as-Siddīque رضي الله عنه."
