a lot of fun with neoclassical sculpture at the National Gallery of Modern Art, and Duchamp is also there 14Sep 30

no photos are allowed in the Sistine chapel (where Michelangelo’s biblical ceiling frescos are), but i’ve managed to take a couple of the floors. everyone tends to look up, missing what’s going at their feet, and that’s a shame. just look at these mosaics! another thing i will remember about the place is that speaking isn’t allowed either, but everyone does anyway. so every few minutes a booming voice comes down on speakers: ‘SSSSSSILENCIO… SILENCE… NO PHOTOSSS… NO TALKING… SSSILENCE.’ 19Sep 29

i really enjoyed the vatican, joking aside. the world’s strongest fandom, still showing everyone how it’s done. a lot of character, nice lighting, creepy stuff, god stuff 10/10 would come again 18Sep 29
