Update: pausing DevConnect
Started DevConnect purely to go deep on Next.js — App Router, Server Components, Server Actions, real auth architecture, optimistic UI, rate limiting, the whole modern stack. That goal is done. I can now explain why a page renders statically vs. dynamically, why Server Actions aren't a security boundary by themselves, why optimistic UI needs rollback logic — not just copy-paste patterns.
The project itself, though, is a Twitter-for-developers clone. I already shipped TruthWall (truthwall-seven.vercel.app) with a similar social-app shape, so grinding through the rest of DevConnect's feature list (likes, follows, notifications) would mostly be repeating patterns I've already proven, not learning anything new.
So — new project incoming: something that actually solves a real problem, more complex than a social clone, with AI integration built in from day one. Same Next.js 16 stack, but now applied to something worth building, not just something worth learning on.
More soon 🚀
