Another important question is this: How does a non-mahram male staff member get such easy access to female students that he can even offer to drop them home? A school should have clear boundaries between staff and students. If unnecessary personal contact is allowed, those boundaries become weak. What starts as "help" or "kindness" can create situations that should never exist. The school administration cannot simply say, "This happened outside the school." If a staff member got this level of access because of his position in the school, then the school also has a responsibility to ask how this was allowed to happen. Parents trust schools to educate their children and to keep them safe. Islam does not only forbid evil actions; it also blocks the paths that can lead to them. This is the wisdom behind the limits of Sharīʿah. These rules are not meant to make life difficult. They are meant to protect honour, modesty, and the safety of our children. If we ignore these limits, we should not be surprised when such incidents happen. Instead of asking only what happened, we should also ask what allowed it to happen in the first place.
