India’s medical tourism market is projected to grow from $12.3 billion in 2026 to $22.1 billion by 2031.

The key driver is rising foreign patient inflow, supported by lower treatment costs, skilled doctors, quality hospitals and better connectivity.

Foreign medical arrivals increased from 1.83 lakh in 2020 to 6.44 lakh in 2024.
