It is with great respect and from the bottom of my heart that I sincerely congratulate all our compatriots, teachers, educators, pupils and students on Knowledge Day and the beginning of the new academic year.
Science and education, as the foundation of sustainable development of society and the most important factor in the progress of the state, hold a special place in the state policy of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Over the 35 years of state independence, thanks to the implementation of the education-oriented policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, primary attention has been devoted to the development of education and science. Through the implementation of constructive initiatives, favorable conditions for the education and upbringing of the younger generation have been created.
The unprecedented scale of construction of educational and preschool institutions in the capital and other regions of the country is clear evidence that the development of education and the upbringing of a generation capable of contributing to the country’s progress remain at the heart of the state’s social policy, laying a solid foundation for building a knowledge-based and progressive society.
Today, the education sector faces the important task of preparing a knowledgeable, professionally competent, self-aware and patriotic generation capable of meeting the demands of the modern era. The future of the state and nation depends, above all, on the knowledge, worldview, legal awareness and civic responsibility of young people.
I am confident that, amid profound technological transformations, pupils and students will make effective use of the opportunities provided to them and, becoming highly educated and qualified specialists, will make a worthy contribution to the development of our beloved Tajikistan.
Once again, I extend my sincere congratulations to the entire people of Tajikistan, our compatriots living abroad, and all those working in the country’s education sector on the beginning of the new academic year. I wish every pupil and student productive studies, and our beloved Motherland continued prosperity.
