There’s been lots of discourse lately around
Lab-grown diamonds vs Natural diamonds.
Let’s compare:
Lab-grown:
- More affordable
- Ring can be bigger & shinier
- Not cucking to De Beers monopoly
Whereas Natural diamonds:
- Cost way more
- Supports child labour (unfortunately, many industries and products do, including the phone you’re holding right now.)
If aesthetics, practicality, and common sense are valuable to you… get the lab-grown!
However. Amongst this entire conversation, I have yet to come across someone considering the deeper esoteric implications.
Diamonds, like any other rock/crystal, carry within them inherent energetic and symbolic properties.
It is my opinion that lab-grown diamonds are inferior in this regard. Because although lab-grown share the exact same lattice structure as the natural diamonds… Lab-grown diamonds completely skip the natural chain of formation…
They lack that OOMF and spark of life that can only be imbued by the Earth through the process of starting as carbon, being buried deep into the earth, subjected to immense heat and pressure until it is slowly transformed into a indestructible crystal... over the course of billions of years.
Symbolically, diamonds - in essence, represent indestructibility.:
You can get a diamond ring, and scrape it across the pavement - and it will remain unscathed. Nothing is harder than diamond. It’s impenetrable.
Able to remain untouched, the ring, representative of the contract between two parties, communicates an indescribable, impenetrable love and commitment to each other.
Astrologically, diamond falls under the rulership of Mars. (Some Vedic sources place it under Venus, but consider it carefully): Extreme hardness, force, immense strength and cutting power, as well as the ability to cut and scratch without getting scratched. Coming out unscathed in the face of any hostile force.
So, does this mean wearing a diamond ring automatically guarantees and ensures that a relationship stays rock solid forever? No. Don’t twist my words.
This is a simple elucidation on the qualities that diamond holds, energetically. And what it represents:
“In the face of all outside pressure, our love sustains and endures.”
