🇾🇪 - A very low-tier false news report by a channel affiliated with Iran's IRGC's propagation wing:
- Map 1: Rerum Novarum's map of the southwest Ta'izz direction.
- Map 2: An Arabic map of the same direction.
- Map 3: The IRGC's propaganda channel's map of the same direction.
The channel, using the Arabic map, claimed that Ansarullah forces have captured a key junction. The map incorrectly labels the junction "al-Mafraq," when in reality, al-Mafriq is located further west, just east of the Khalid bin Walid Military Camp. The rest of the locations seem correctly labelled on the Arabic map, as compared to Rerum Novarum's.
The junction in question that was captured is the Moazza'a Junction, which Rerum Novarum reported on three days ago. It was not captured today, or even recently.
The IRGC's propaganda channel, instead of matching the Arabic map with Google Map to assess the location from the terrain or roads, decides to publish the loss of al-Mafraq to the Ansarullah forces, a completely different location that doesn't even match the terrain of the Arabic map that posted just minutes prior.
The junction does however lie on a key Ta'izz - Mocha supply route, as previously stated by Rerum Novarum.
Rerum Novarum's map key:
- Red, Maozza'a Junction.
- Blue, al-Mafraq Junction.
- Yellow, Khalid bin Walid Military Camp.
Rerum Novarum has previously reported on the Khalid bin Walid Military Camp and its importance HERE.
