🇾🇪 - Current situation along the Hays direction, southwest Yemen:
- Tihamah Brigades (pro Presidential Leadership Council, PLC) launched heavy artillery attacks on Ansarullah positions yesterday evening.
- Ansarullah responded with 14 ballistic missiles (one failed upon launch, another malfunctioned and landed within Ansarullah-controlled 'Ibb region) at PLC positions in al-Khawkhah and Mocha last night.
- PLC responded with large-scale drone attacks on Ansarullah positions along the al-Barah axis, Hays direction. Ansarullah retaliated with their own drone attacks, three of which were downed by the PLC.
- The tit-for-tat resulted in ground clashes along al-Kudnah and al-Maqbanah earlier this morning. Both sides began reinforcing their positions immediately.
- Since the tit-for-tats, it has now escalated into a full blown ground campaign along almost the entire stretch of the southern Hays, western Ta'izz area. Both sides are attempting to advance around the strategic Shar'ab heights.
- Clashes are ongoing, and are some of the most intense since the end of Yemen's hot-phase of the civil war in mid-2022. Neither side has made any strategic breakthrough on the ground, reports of advances are all false.
